Blackbox AI Partners with Microsoft to Bring Enterprise-Grade Security to AI Deployment
Encrypted inference: protection by default
At the core of Blackbox's enterprise platform is encrypted inference. Every prompt is encrypted end to end — sealed with AES-256-GCM before it leaves the client, so it remains unreadable even to the cloud provider hosting the model. TLS 1.3 wraps it as a second layer in transit. When it arrives, only the GPU worker inside a dedicated, single-tenant trusted execution environment — a hardened VM with hardware-level isolation — can decrypt it. One tenant, one instance, no shared pools, no other customers. Blackbox is Zero Data Retention compliant by default — no prompt, completion, or conversation data is stored, logged, or used for training.
Smart routing: the right model for every workload
The second pillar is the Blackbox Router, which gives enterprises access to more than 300 open and closed models through a single OpenAI-compatible endpoint. Rather than locking teams into one provider, the router directs each workload to the model and inference infrastructure best suited to it, with prompt caching and cost-aware routing built in. Zero data retention and no-training guarantees are enforced across routed providers wherever their APIs support it — so flexibility doesn't come at the cost of governance.
The performance case is concrete: Blackbox's deployment of NVIDIA Nemotron 3 Ultra was ranked #1 by Artificial Analysis (July 2026) at 454 tokens per second — 30% faster and 2.7× lower cost than the next provider.
What the Microsoft partnership adds
Through this partnership, Blackbox's enterprise platform is available on Microsoft Azure, and Blackbox integrates natively with the identity stack enterprises already operate: Azure AD / Entra ID single sign-on via SAML 2.0, automated user provisioning through SCIM 2.0, and fine-grained role-based access control across repositories, models, and agent capabilities. Tamper-evident audit logs stream directly to Splunk, Datadog, Sumo Logic, Elastic, or S3, with retention windows configurable from 30 days to 7 years.
On the compliance front, Blackbox offers HIPAA BAAs for healthcare customers, supports GDPR and CCPA requirements, and has SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 audits underway on an annual third-party cadence, with interim audit letters available under NDA.
Getting started
Enterprise Inference is available today as a fully managed deployment — organizations choose their open-weight model and Blackbox runs it end to end on reserved, single-tenant capacity, with per-token enterprise commits and custom contracts available through Blackbox's Enterprise Sales.
Together, Blackbox and Microsoft are enabling organizations to bring the latest AI capabilities into their businesses securely and at scale, while maintaining the enterprise-grade standards their teams expect.
