Ahmet Asarkaya

Senior AI Research Engineer, Agility Robotics

Ahmet Şemi Asarkaya is a Senior AI Research Engineer at Agility Robotics, where his work focuses on scaling embodied intelligence and building practical paths from data to reliable policies on humanoid platforms. He specializes in the end-to-end deployment flywheel, from developing, pretraining, and fine-tuning Vision-Language-Action (VLA) models and World Models to architecting high-throughput data pipelines and Reinforcement Learning (RL) strategies on real hardware. Throughout his career, Ahmet has developed and deployed learning-based controllers across diverse autonomous systems, including humanoids, mobile manipulators, autonomous vehicles (AVs), and drones. He holds an M.S. in Aerospace Engineering and has been published in leading robotics venues like IROS.
