Alexis Black Björlin
Dr. Alexis Björlin is Chief Strategy Officer at General Catalyst, a global investment and transformation company that partners with founders and institutions on resilience and applied AI. In that role, she shapes company-wide strategy across GC's investment platform and its Transformation Companies, including Percepta and the Health Assurance Transformation Company (HATCo), bringing a builder's lens to how capital, technology, and operating leverage compound at scale.
Alexis joined General Catalyst from NVIDIA, where she was Senior Vice President and General Manager of DGX Cloud, helping define how the world's largest enterprises access frontier AI compute. Prior to NVIDIA, she was Vice President of Infrastructure at Meta, where her team was responsible for AI systems, compute and storage platforms, and custom silicon, and before that Senior Vice President and General Manager of Broadcom's Optical Systems Division. Earlier, she was Corporate Vice President of Intel's Data Center Group and GM of its Connectivity Group, overseeing Ethernet/Networking, High-Performance Computing fabrics, and spent 8 years as President of Source Photonics.
Alexis served on the boards of the Global Semiconductor Alliance, Digital Realty, Astera Labs, and Celestial AI. She is a recognized voice on AI infrastructure, semiconductor strategy, and the build-out of the gigawatt-scale compute economy, with particular emphasis on inclusion and equity in compute design and access.
She earned a B.S. in Materials Science & Engineering from MIT and a Ph.D. in Materials Science from UC Santa Barbara.
