Boris Sofman is the co-founder and CEO of Bedrock Robotics, an SF-based company focused on enabling fully self-operating heavy machinery (enabled by a fairly inexpensive upfit) to drive improvements in the cost, schedule, safety, and predictability of projects.
Boris spent 5 years as an Engineering executive at Waymo leading the company's autonomous trucking efforts and various technology teams helping to launch and scale the Waymo One autonomous network. Waymo robo-taxis have driven over 125 million driverless miles across 10+ cities at superhuman levels of safety.
Before this, he spent 10 years growing a consumer robotics company, Anki, releasing innovative products in numerous categories from entertainment to smart-home. At Anki, Boris and his team developed a global consumer business, shipping over 3.7M devices and robots since 2013 with as high as $100M in annual global revenues.
