Carmel Daniele is the Founder and Chief Investment Officer of CD Capital Critical Minerals, with over 30 years of experience across minerals and investments. Before founding CD Capital in 2007, Carmel held a Senior Executive position at Newmont Mining and Normandy Mining, where she worked on major cross-border M&A transactions and global asset divestments. She has since built a team with more than 200 years of combined expertise and an extensive global industry network.

CD Capital’s investment focus reflects the essential role of critical minerals in an increasingly AI-driven world. The pace of AI development will increasingly depend on the rapid build-out of the infrastructure required to support it, from power generation and grid capacity to cooling systems and data centres, all of which depend on the ready availability of critical minerals at scale.

Carmel is also a co-founder of Women in Mining UK and a recipient of the WIM100 “100 Global Inspirational Women in Mining” award.
