Giorgio Regni

Co-Founder & CTO, Scality

Giorgio Regni is the co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Scality, which he helped launch in 2009 and has shaped as its chief technologist ever since. He is the architect behind Scality's core storage technology, including the RING platform and the open-source Zenko multi-cloud data controller. Before Scality, Giorgio co-founded Bizanga, where as VP of Engineering he built anti-abuse software that protected hundreds of millions of mailboxes worldwide. A computer-science engineer and long-time open-source advocate, he has spent more than two decades pushing the boundaries of large-scale, software-defined storage. Today he leads Scality's technology vision for AI-ready data infrastructure — from RDMA-accelerated object storage to the company's work with the NVIDIA ecosystem. Giorgio is based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
