Ian Wright
Ian Wright is CTO at DIMAAG and a pioneering entrepreneur, innovator and technology
visionary in high-power electrification, energy systems, and electric transportation. Best
known as a co-founder of Tesla Motors, he led vehicle development and helped advance
battery thermal management innovations that improved the performance, safety, charging
capability, and longevity of modern electric vehicles. Wright's vision extended beyond
engineering. As part of Tesla's founding leadership team, he challenged long-standing
automotive conventions, including pioneering a direct-to-consumer business model that
transformed how electric vehicles reached customers and influenced the broader
automotive industry.
Following Tesla, Wright founded Wrightspeed, pioneering the electrification of heavy-duty
commercial vehicles through advanced energy storage systems, high-power electric
drivetrains, and intelligent power management. Over a career spanning more than 30 years,
he has developed breakthrough technologies in battery systems, controls, energy
management, and electric propulsion.
Today, Wright is applying that expertise at DIMAAG to solve one of the AI era's most critical
infrastructure challenges: delivering resilient, scalable, grid-ready power for nextgeneration AI factories. His work centers on power stabilization, intelligent energy
management, and grid-to-chip architecture that enable hyperscale AI data centers to
connect reliably to the electric grid.
Wright brings a unique perspective that spans electric vehicles, industrial electrification,
power systems, and AI infrastructure. His insights help organizations understand how the
convergence of energy and computing will shape the future of AI data centers, and largescale electrified systems
