Nuwan Jayasena is a Fellow at AMD Research and Advanced Development with 25 years’ experience in processor and system design. He leads a team focused on future memory and accelerator architectures, with particular emphasis on reducing data movement. Nuwan holds a BS in Computer Engineering from the University of Southern California and an M.S and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University. He is an inventor of over 95 granted US patents and is an author of over 30 peer-reviewed publications. Prior to AMD, Nuwan was a processor architect at Stream Processors, Inc. and at Nvidia.
