Raafat Zarka is Director of Software Engineering at WRITER, where he leads teams building the enterprise platform foundations for production-grade generative AI. His work spans AI infrastructure, data platform, observability, governance, identity and access, usage metering, billing, and cost control.

Previously, Raafat held engineering and technical roles at Microsoft, Salesforce, and Tableau. He holds a PhD and brings deep experience in data platforms, enterprise software, and GenAI infrastructure. At Writer, he focuses on building the enterprise platform capabilities that make production AI scalable, governable, observable, and cost-efficient for enterprise customers.
