Sai Vemprala is the CTO and Co-Founder of General Robotics. As a leading researcher and engineer at the forefront of robotics, AI, and embodied intelligence, he drives the development of scalable, general-purpose robot intelligence systems. Prior to this, Sai was a principal researcher at Microsoft, where he helped shape the future of autonomous systems and was a key contributor to the open-source simulator AirSim. Sai's work spans deep reinforcement learning, vision-based control, simulation, and human-robot collaboration—bridging cutting-edge research with real-world deployment. He holds a Ph.D. in Robotics from the Texas A&M University and is passionate about building intelligent systems that interact safely and effectively with the physical world.
