Thomas Tang

Co-Founder & CEO, Anyware Robotics

Thomas provides the overall vision and strategy for Anyware Robotics as well as building the team and establishing partnerships. Prior to this role, he was the founding member of FANUC Silicon Valley research center, where he grew the R&D team and led FANUC’s AI products from origin to commercialization. Before joining FANUC, Thomas completed his PhD at UC Berkeley. His research there centered around robotic manipulation, 3D perception, force control, and human-robot interaction. Thomas holds 14 patents in the field of robotics and his papers on robotics have won “best paper” and finalist awards. In addition, he has authored a book on human robot collaboration.
