Wafaa Aldhafiri

Dr. Wafaa Aldhafiri is an AI expert in life sciences and biotech and the Founder of Waffoo AI, a Washington, DC–based artificial intelligence company building AI tools, AI training, and AI consulting solutions for biomedical research, drug development, and healthcare innovation.

She works at the intersection of scientific AI, forward-deployed AI, and AI implementation, helping research institutions, biotech companies, pharmaceutical organizations, and universities integrate AI directly into scientific workflows.

Dr. Aldhafiri holds a PhD and MS in Pharmaceutical Sciences, with a specialization in pharmacometrics, from the University of Nebraska Medical Center,   and has industry experience at AstraZeneca and Gilead Sciences. Her technical expertise spans AI for drug development, clinical pharmacology, PBPK modeling, PK/PD modeling, regulatory science, scientific evidence generation, and AI-enabled R&D workflows. She authored seven peer-reviewed publications, and is a two-time recipient of the ASCPT Presidential Trainee Award and former Chair of the ASCPT Early Career Community.
